Stanley Park Postcard Secrets – An Illustrated talk by Jolene Cumming. Sunday January 11, 2015 (Note that Club meetings are now held on the second Sunday of the month).

Jolene’s presentation focuses on the hidden stories behind some of the parks most iconic vintage postcard images. It features 12 intriguing Stanley Park postcards, with over 50 additional historical photographs to highlight their narratives. Discover the answers to mysteries like; what ever happened to the original boulder that marked E. Pauline Johnson’s grave from 1913-1922?

Jolene has been producing and presenting public history events and programs since 2001. She is the co-founder and co-coordinator of the Herstory Cafe (2007-present) and is the founder of the Stanley Park History Group and the Stanley Park History Salon (both 2011-present). Jolene has been presenting Stanley Park historical walking tours and exhibits since 2003. She is fourth generation in her family to have lived in Vancouver and resides by Stanley Park’s Lost Lagoon. www.stanleyparkhistory.ca
