Hockey historian Craig Bowlsby, author of “The Knights of Winter: the History of British Columbia Hockey from 1895 to 1911” and “The Empire of Ice: The Rise and Fall of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association, 1911-1926”, will be talking about what makes a hockey postcard interesting or important.
An avid collector of antiquarian books, Craig’s collection of rare hockey books inspired a previous volume, “Ice Age Memoirs: A Compendium and Bibliography of Hockey Publications.”

Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 12 noon. Located at the Hastings Community Centre downstairs Board Room, 3096 E. Hastings, Vancouver, BC. Postcard trading and socializing begins at 11:30 am. and continues after the presentation if time allows. The event wraps up by 2 pm.
Our monthly meetings are open to both Club members and members of the public.
