Sunday, November 8th, the Vancouver Postcard Club welcomes Antique Clothing Guru and Fashion Historian, Ivan Sayers.

Ivan has been a collector for over 50 years (he owns 600 women’s hats, among other things), plus having been a museum consultant, and show presenter. His entertaining talks have been noted continent-wide.

His skills include identification, company history, regional style, and even clan/family notes. It will not be a broad based show, but a general talk with a few examples.

If club members have always had trouble dating an early photo or postcard that shows people wearing clothing,  Ivan can probably round off a number, for a close year.
