Join us for a special presentation by Mark Truelove, known online as Canadian Colour. His website and social media presence (Facebook and Twitter) has enjoyed considerable online attention, and his talk titled “Digital colourization of historical Canadian photographs – bringing new life to old photos” will surely be of interest to club members and historical enthusiasts alike! The postcard industry has a long standing ‘tradition’ of colourizing images. Techniques were created first when it was too prohibitive to use colour photographic processes in large qualities, and thereafter alternate colour techniques have been employed for all their charm and appeal.
Canadian Colour adds new life to this historic black and white photo of a family group in front of Lumberman’s Arch in 1913.
