The first Vancouver Postcard Club meeting of 2017 will be January 15, 2017 from 11:30 am to 2 pm at the Hastings Community Centre in the Board Room.

Please note the change of date – due to the New Year’s holiday on the first Sunday of this month.

Our speaker will be Rein Stamm whose topic will be: “What is a postcard?”

“What is a postcard?” will touch on a number of postcard types. We are all familiar with standard ‘vintage’ postcards (5.5 by 3.5 inches) and the slightly larger modern continentals. The presentation will feature: a few of the much smaller and much larger postcards; postcards made from various materials; postcards in a variety of shapes; and more.

Those attending are encouraged to bring along at least one postcard from their own collection that might prompt a deltiologist to say: “What? Really? This is a postcard?”
