Title: Early Photographers of Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Tom Beasley, a VPC member, will present a selection of his postcards of Thunder Bay, Ontario (formerly Port Arthur and Fort William). The presentation will focus on about a dozen photographers, from about 1900 to 1940,  showing their style and preferred subject matter. Illustrated here is an Alfred Sutton photograph of the Fort William Freight Handlers Strike in August 1909 where Col. Sam Steele called out the local militia to break up the strike.
