Lost postcards of Stanley Park

Hello,

I am writing on behalf of my Grandfather who is visiting me in Vancouver from New Zealand.  He brought with him a package of about 6 original postcards of Stanley Park in the 1920’s.  These postcards were obtained by my Great Grandfather, when he visited Vancouver around 1928.  Unfortunately, my Grandfather went for a walk to Stanley Park yesterday afternoon to take current day photographs of the 1928 views and somewhere on his walk the package of postcards fell out of his pocket and were lost.

I’m writing on the off-chance that a package of about 6 postcards of Stanley Park in the 1920’s might ever show up, or be located by a member of your club.  There was writing on the back of at least some of the postcards, though I cannot recall the details.  I recall that some were printed in London and at least one was of the park entrance and another was of the totem poles.  The cards have great sentimental value to my family so we are doing what we can to try and find them again.

Thank you so much,

Nicky Collins
